This is one of the most famous daggers in the annals of Dagger history, being the Diplomatic Dagger belonging to Franz con Papen.  Papen was a German politician, diplomat and Prussian Nobleman who served as teh Chancellor Germany in 1932, prior to Hitler’s ascension to power.  Originally sold by Ruptured Duck dealer Bill Shea.  The dagger is a MINT Diplomatic Dagger, distinguished from the more common Government Official dagger by the “reverse” eagle on the Cross Guard (that faces the opposite direction of the pommel eagle).  Included with the dagger is the red Party Book of Papen’s.  More information will follow on this extraordinary opportunity to acquire a dagger owned by an individual, without whom, Hitler may not have risen to power.
