When I first viewed this ring at a local San Diego collector’s home, I let the collector know he had a very nice ring.  It felt right, the wear was amazingly accurate.  However, just to be sure, I took it into the sunlight, and got my loop out, and immediately recognized this ring as one of the Kruger reproductions that surfaced many decades ago.  While definitely not authentic, it is constructed extremely well, has a very realistic seam from having been constructed correctly.  From the outside, the ring looks fine.  However, the date is wrong, the name has a first initial, etc.  Still, a great piece of collector history for those so inclined.  I spoke to Don Boyle, who reminded me that this ring was made in Canada in the 1990s by Russ Heindell.
