M1934 Edelstahl Double Decal Police Helmet is in 95% or better condition.  Featuring almost 100% paint with minor scuffsDecals are 95% or better, showing only light scuffing to the decals along the edges, and the corresponding painted metal finish adjacent.  

Leather on liner is stiff, but shows no dry rot. Grey sponge spacers are intact and not disintegrating.  Original string tie for liner tongues is present and tied.  

Edelstahl is the German word for stainless steel literally meaning noble steel. On German M34 helmets, the EDELSTAHL stamp indicates that the helmet shell was manufactured from corrosion-resistant stainless steel rather than ordinary carbon steel. Introduced during the prewar period, these stainless steel shells offered superior resistance to rust and are often found today in exceptionally well-preserved condition. The stamp denotes the material of the shell, not its manufacturer.
