This is a beautiful Katana featuring a 26 inch blade.  Temper line is straight and distinct.  Edge is razor sharp with no nicks and no rust to the blade.  Scabbard is lacquered with a couple of minor cracks to the lacquer (could be restored to 100% with very little effort or cost).  Fuchi and Kashira (handle collar and pommel) have gold emblazoned dragon motifs, with a matching dragon pair of matching Menuki (grip ornaments). Ray skin and silk handle is tight and shows no damage and just very minor age.  Tuba shows intricate piercing and some gold ornamentation.  Tang has 3 holes and is unsigned.  Blade is circa 1650.  This is a rare sword due to its short size.  A fine sword that has not been tinkered with.
