This is a Hitler Youth knife used by the Hitlerjugend organization. The Hitlerjugend was the youth organization of the Nazi Party in Germany. This artifact is a standard M1934 pattern youth knife. It was issued and used during the 1930s and World War II as a symbol of membership and for utility purposes within the organization.  Condition is excellent, with most paint remaining on a rust-free, straight scabbard.  Leather integral hanger present and fully intact.  Blade shows minor age and the slightest bit of sharpening - very imperceptible.  Grip is unbroken, and HJ diamond is slightly "loose" as they should be - a sign of authenticity in this particular genre.
