This is a Third Reich medal bar featuring the Schinkel form Iron Cross 1939 alongside other German military awards. The bar includes a combination of medals such as the Iron Cross 2nd Class, War Merit Cross with Swords, and various campaign and service medals, each suspended from distinctively colored ribbons and mounted on a blue felt backing with a pin fastening. The Schinkel form Iron Cross, named after architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel, is highly sought after by collectors as one of the earliest cross-types.  Other medals include the War Merit Cross with Swords, Eastern Front Medal, Luftwaffe Long Service Awards, featuring the 12 and 25 year specimens (quite rare).  Also rarely encountered is the Memel campaign medal, Silesian Eagle II Class symbolizing service in the Freikorps, and the Italo-German Afrika campaign medal for service in North Africa.  This is a VERY impressive medal bar.
