Virtually flawless SA Ehrendolch, manufactured by Carl Eickhorn. Early 1934 pattern features tight maidenhair pattern Damascus, with 95% gold finish remaining to lettering and almost NO rust to the steel surface (one tiny smudge that is hard to see, and some minuscule signs of age surrounding the letters - hardly visible in the photos. Grip is flawless, and 800 silver eagle is perfectly inset, as is the SA rune. Leather is original - very rare to find on an SA or SS Honor piece. A couple of minor defects (see photos). Screws are entirely unturned, and dagger seems never to have been apart (though I did disassemble it to confirm correct markings on the interior). Dagger serial numbers match on the cross guard interior, and dagger blade is marked "Damast" followed by a 3- digit number, which as is quite often the case, does NOT match the cross guard numbers (sometimes the numbers match on the interior of these pieces, other times they do not - there is no clear understanding of why this is so). Exterior fittings show an even grey matching patina. Runners are tight, and blade has perhaps been drawn from scabbard just a few times. Shipping is only "$5 dollars" as it will be included with the purchase price, but the software requires a shipping amount.
