A near-mint SA Service Dagger produced by the Carl Eickhorn firm, featuring a fully intact Ernst Röhm dedication on the reverse of the blade. The inscription remains crisp and well-defined, showing minimal wear and retaining strong factory "cross grain" polish. Virtually no wear or age to the blade other than very light runner marks. Handle in outstanding condition, scabbard retains at least 50% of factory protective lacquer over the brown-anodized scabbard.
Examples with the complete Röhm inscription are notably scarce, as most were ordered ground off after the 1934 purge known as the “Night of the Long Knives,” when the SA leadership—including Röhm—was eliminated. Because of that directive, surviving blades that escaped alteration are significantly rarer than the standard SA daggers. The Eickhorn maker mark is sharp, and the fittings, grip, and scabbard show only light handling consistent with excellent preservation. Overall, this piece stands out as a high-grade, untouched example of an early-pattern SA dagger with a historically consequential inscription, offered strictly as a collectible artifact.
