Superb quality overcoat in the lighter greenish feldgrau doeskin wool with dark collar. The coat has been period retailored to General's rank based on a promotion. Tailor tagged at the neck by "Spohn & Klaiber" with name tag in pocket, indicating the original owner was Oberstleutnant Schulz. Dated November 1938; the label is also unit marked "IR 35". I believe that the original owner was Karl Friedrich "Fritz" Wilhelm Schultz, who was promoted to Oberstleutnant effective February 1939 and then to General's ranks in 1942, 1943, and 1944. He was awarded the Knight Cross to the Iron Cross with oakleaves and swords. Correctly sewn red wool lapels, shoulder boards, and gilt buttons. The coat shows normal age and light wear only with no damage.
