Excellent textbook specimen of a Chained SS Dagger. Exterior fittings are plated, and show only minor age (see photos). Scabbard has 100% anodizing with no rust, and only a couple of abrasions (and one small scratch on the reverse - would reduce with an application of wax). Grip "reads" perfect with grip rune and eagle expertly inset. A couple of very tiny age cracks near the upper cross guard. Blade is near flawless with full factory cross-grain finish and a textbook "thin" motto on the obverse. Reverse has a very light area of peppering on the center - much less obvious in person than in the photo. Very light runner marks. Dagger would qualify as "Near Mint" on most dealer websites. This really is a beautiful specimen, well-preserved.
