Description

This is a Hindenburg Cross awarded by Germany. It was issued by the Weimar Republic to honor German WWI veterans. The medal is the standard version of the Honor Cross of the World War 1914/1918. The medal is housed in a red presentation case lined with white fabric, inscribed with the phrase "Treue um Treue" and the signature of Paul von Hindenburg. The decoration features the dates "1914 1918" at its center, surrounded by a laurel wreath and crossed swords. This award was presented after World War I to recognize service and sacrifice during the conflict.
