Description

This is a First Pattern E-Boat Badge used by the Kriegsmarine. The badge is a standard combat award featuring a Schnellboot (fast attack craft) in silver on a gold laurel wreath with a national eagle and swastika at the top. It was awarded to personnel serving on E-Boats for distinguished service in naval engagements. The reverse bears the maker's mark "Schauerte & Höhlsch 66" and a handwritten mark, probably a museum archive number. The badge is presented in its original box with liner. This award was issued during the early years of the war and recognized bravery and achievements in fast attack boat operations.
