Textbook SS Officer visor.  Constructed of fine grade wool, this visor has no extra holes near the insignia, exhibits precision structure.  Fully intact nterior gold silk liner shows some wear and age, matching the sweatband.  A couple of minor moth nips do not detract due to small size and positioning.  Size is about a size 58.  Unmarked. Please note: I have further inspected this hat, and no additional "holes" are present in the cardboard.  This is a good sign that the insignia are original to the hat, and there are no other red-flags.  A pretty normal "contract piece."
