Standard command flag for an SA Sturmbann. This example is the full sized flag (not the auto pennant smaller size) for II/R130, which was located in Berleburg, Brigade 68 Arnsberg in SA Group Westfalen. Double sided flag with correctly printed SA eagle and unit designation chain-stitched in black on white triangle which is sewn to the red body. There is a slot with an internal sleeve, into which, when the flag was displayed, was inserted a metal tongue attached to the flag pole, which served to hold the flag in a rigid position. As can be seen in the photos, there are a few red and white small repaired areas. They show no reaction to UV light--it's unknown when they were applied. They are not distracting. The flag retains its bunting and halyard cord. Other than the small repairs, the flag is in better condition than usually seen showing normal age and use. Uncommon example!
