This is a Nazi-era SA (Sturmabteilung) dagger, specifically a Paul Selheimer RZM-marked example. The wooden grip features the SA eagle and swastika insignia embedded into the handle, with a distinctive RZM button on the pommel. The blade is etched with the motto "Alles für Deutschland" ("Everything for Germany"), a hallmark of SA daggers. The RZM mark identifies the manufacturer as an officially licensed producer under the Reichszeugmeisterei system. Exterior shows age but NO wear. Grip shows no cracks. Crossguards are the plated type and show peppering age. Scabbard has plated fittings, and 100% of the original factory paint. Blade is factory-grained, with light peppering. Etch on the motto is deep and crisp. This was likely an "unissued" dagger brought back from the war, but saw age from improper storage. This is the 3rd of 3 daggers purchased from a veteran in the midwest. (The TeNo dagger and the Luftwaffe dagger in the auction being the other two).
