Genuine set of hangers for an RLB 2nd model officer's dagger. All hardware is manufacturer marked with the correct RZM codes. Leather is strong. Please note: there are two cracks on the back of the hangers, but the cracks do not go through to the front. One could hang a dagger from this set of hangers with no negative result. ORIGINAL belt loop present. Also, there is a little loop of brass inside the hanger clip - not sure what it is used for, but it can be discarded if you wish.
The Reichsluftschutzbund was a Nazi-era paramilitary civil-defense organization created in 1933 to prepare the German civilian population for air warfare. Subordinate to the Reich Air Ministry under Hermann Göring, the RLB trained millions of civilians in blackout procedures, gas-mask use, firefighting, first aid, and bomb-damage response. Uniformed and rank-structured but non-combatant, the organization functioned as a mechanism of both practical air-raid preparedness and state control, embedding military discipline into everyday civilian life as Germany mobilized for total war.
