Description

The Order of the Golden Kite (金鵄勲章, Kinshi Kunshō) was an order of the Empire of Japan, established on 12 February 1890 by Emperor Meiji "in commemoration of Jimmu Tennō, the Romulus of Japan." It was abolished 1947 by the Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers (SCAP) during the occupation of Japan, after World War II. This is a complete set of the 1st Class award. Medals are in outstanding condition. Lacquered box is mint (please excuse the finger prints). While the connection between this award set and the photo album is not know, the set was consigned together with no additional information available.
