Description
Jewish star meant for wear in France. Juif which is French for Jewish. Sewn onto a fine wool grey backing, using a "reverse sewing" technique common in Europe that hides the stitching. Although pure speculation, the light-grey color to the backing suggests to me wear by a female, as this shade of grey is more likely to have been worn by a woman than a man (most of whom wore darker color suits).
