Black fabric necktie with RZM label which is titled "SS Halsbinde". Normally, "Halsbinde" refers to the neckband that was worn under the collar of a brownshirt or closed collar tunic to protect the collar and the wearer's neck from abrasion. Occasionally, per older German dictionaries, "Halsbinde" can refer to a necktie. The more common name for the necktie, however, is "Binder". Some collectors consider ties with "Halsbinde" labels to be fakes from the 1980s, while some consider them original. The RZM label shows wear and creasing. The tie is somewhat creased as well.
