Description
Luftwaffe Afrikakorps/tropical visor cap, so called ‘Hermann Meyer’ cap. Complete with its period machine applied insignia. Buttons show corrosion from age, but the material is supple with no moth damage. Chin strap is a replacement, probably done during the period. This cap could be "sponged and pressed" to present far better than it appears, but the current "salty" nature of the cap is actually quite attractive. This was a "walk in" to the Pomona Military Fairplex show earlier this year.
