Description
Rare shoulder board with correct SS Tress, pointed-tip top, worn in the early years. Fine black wool construction. Pip and tress combination denotes an SS-Oberscharführer. This rank is roughly equivalent in responsibility to a squad leader. The '1' is for SS-VT Standard Oberbayern. These troops were responsible for the Dachau Concentration Camp. The included original photo shows this tab type in wear by an NCO of the exact same rank.
