Description
The Red Cross Hewer Subordinate dagger had a dual purpose of being worn at special programs such as parades, weddings and was also carried to the frontline. The sawtooth edge of the blade was used on the battlefield.
There is no maker mark on blade, it has a well detailed emblem on obverse langet, the black bakelite grip shows normal hand wear, the sawtooth blade shows light graying but no nicks to cutting edge. The scabbard retains 98% of the original enamel and is dent free. Black leather frog shows wear but no rips/tears and no damage to stitching and upper reverse side is maker marked "KLOPFER BERLIN".
