2024 Spring Auction Closed (#1052932)

A "Double Erel" (sweatshield and sweatband) Fire Police visor cap of the finest quality.  The cap is made of a brushed wool in dark blue with carmine piping. Black velvet capband features the police insignia with vented Erel cockade above. The black visor retains its glossy finish. The interior is artificial silk lined with full sweatshield noting this is an Erel 'Sonderklasse' "Privat" level visor cap. The special sweatband with Erel markings is present but does have a tear at the front of the cap. The cap was definitely worn by its original owner as there is a small sweatstain behind the sweatshield name slot stitching. The exterior should be brushed or sponged as it is somewhat dusty and linty.
